Demon Hairstylist

Okay, so maybe he wasn’t that bad and he was very dedicated in doing my hair up after all, just not to my liking. As they say, beauty is in the eye of the beholder and a good haircut can range from ending up looking like Brad Pitt OR Ace Ventura, the crazy-haired pet detective. Yea, i’m still unsatisfied with my haircut, though not as much as i was on the first day.

It’s my fault anyway, for being so stingy and not paying for a professional hairstylist. But come to think of it, i might have gotten almost the exact haircut even if i paid much much more. Some chinese-y haircut which makes me look like a cheap triad member, those that get killed in movies the very second they appear. I want to look FOREIGN!

Johhny Depp as Sweeney Todd
Scary looking, yet hawt

Speaking of evil barbers and the like, Johnny Depp and Tim Burton (the same pair who brought us Edward Scissorshand and Sleepy Hollow) has teamed up once again to create a thriller about trips to the hair saloon gone wrong. If you thought leaving the barbershop with uneven patches of hair was bad, wait till you leave without a head! Oh wait, you won’t be going anywhere after that.

This highly anticipated movie (mostly because of Johnny!), aptly named Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street is about Benjamin Barker, a barber out for revenge after being punished for a crime he did not commit and on top of that, having his wife and daughter taken from him. He kills innocent customers out of madness and plan to do the same to the judge who gave him his sentence. That’s what Wikipedia says anyway, i haven’t watched the movie either you know. Oh, and his weapon of choice is a shaving razor, which he slashes his victims’ throats with. That’s new.. and nice!

I was expecting a demon DEMON barber with super chunted powers but who cares, Tim Burton movies have always scared me without the need for ugly looking things (Willy Wonka *shivers*). No seriously, even Edward Scissorshand gave me nightmares; I dreamt of things far scarier after watching that movie and dared not sleep for the next few nights. Hope this one’s as good.
So anyway, it’s coming out on the 24th of January which is still a while to go (ARGGH!). Just letting you guys know about it in case you’re more katak di bawah tempurung than me and haven’t heard about it yet. And of course, also for the FREE tickets and merchandise! Whee…

THE END

p.s. By the way, Johnny’s gonna sing in this movie! Yay!
p.s.p.s. If you can’t wait to find out about the story, there’s always IMDB, Wikipedia and the book which it is based on. So, yea.
p.s.p.s.p.s. “IMDB: Because of the actress’s real life pregnancy and filming out of order, Mrs. Lovett’s chest size varies greatly throughout the movie.” Now people are gonna stare…

ooh ooh ohh! i want to watch this movie! damn it! maybe it’s because of johnny, or helena bonham carter (she was naked in fight club. scary !) but who cares. any movie starring johnny is worth watching. even charlie and the chocolate factory! it was ok, but i thought it was a little bit too ummm…colourful. doesn’t do roald dahl a lot of justice lah frankly.

lala i love roald dahl. i love johnny.

i love house but it won’t load today.

Uhh, i love Roald Dahl too, his are the only books i can sincerely say i read. I’d usually only read books half way, but not his.. no need to. But i think there are lots of other books by authors like him out there, i’m just not looking.

To be honest honest, i only found out that the actor playing Edward Scissorshand was Johnny Depp maybe like around Sleepy Hollow came out. I never did care about names of actors or actresses before that, i was interested in watching. Same goes for songs and computer games, the details weren’t important.

Funny how models seem to look good in everything, even glasses and rags! Either it’s really true or people are just taking in all the nice and ignoring the un-nice. Models mah..

    BYE!

p.s. I like Jack Sparrow more than i like Johnny Depp. HAHA!

Foreign Look? Something like David Beckam? Why not with the fringy and layer style like most teenagers did now LOL. But yeah, I think foreign hair cut is mooore nicer although it’s simple.

Btw, I didn’t know Johnny Depp was Edward ScissorsHand. It was a great movie.

Only Johnny Depp can pull off black eyeliner, gold teeth and now, a ghastly complexion complete with a white streak of hair!

Can’t wait for this movie, Burton + Depp = Movie Magic!

“Why not with the fringy and layer style like most teenagers did now LOL” Not sure which hairstyle you’re referring to right now but i have a feeling that that’s the exact one i’m trying to avoid at all cost. Plus you said ‘LOL’ which i assume means you agree that it looks horrible or something.

Foreign hairstyle as in something that you don’t see that many people around her don. Don’t want any lala or chinese-y haircuts, different is good!

I didn’t know he was Edward Scissorshand till much later too. I was too busy being afraid of him to care anyway. :D Yea, he pulls off all these make up business quite well. Oh, and i noticed Helena does alot of movies where she puts tonnes of make-up like she does here too.

“Now this is something I am so gonna look forward to!” - Aren’t we all. XD Thanks for the compliment by the way, but as a typical Chinese I’m going to say “No lah.. not that nice also.” :D
